These 24 Designer Dresses Were Made for Wearing On Holiday In Europe This Summer

Oumayma knows the power of an amazing mini dress, as proven here by her silky and faux-feather style.

I might be a fashion editor, but the reality is that I don’t own that many designer pieces. I’m very frugal and give every purchase I make serious consideration, more often than not talking myself out of spending anything at all. At least, anything that doesn’t feel absolutely worth it. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate designer clothing—far from it. In fact, I think my lack thereof has meant I don’t take any designer pieces that I do own for granted; their shine and appeal never fade. I believe anything high-end should make you feel the same way, which is why I regularly take time out to unearth the very best designer pieces for you, and today, it’s all about dresses.

Karina proves that dresses can bring the drama even on the beach.

Whether you’re heading to a wedding or looking for the perfect style for your Euro-summer holiday, dresses are at the fashion forefront right now, and there’s certainly no shortage of beautiful options to consider. However, when it comes to finding the best designer dresses, unlike when you invest in a bag and want it to be classic, I believe a designer dress should be more of a showstopper. You know, the kind of statement “wow” dress that’ll get everyone talking.

But which designer dresses are the best this season? I went on a deep dive; these styles made me come up for air.

The whole dress vibe of 2023 is “Eurosummer”—think prints, bold colour and easy to throw on silhouettes—and Emili is nailing it here.

Taller Marmo dresses are still very much in demand.

This dress comes in so many heavenly hues.

The silhouette on this dress is extraordinary.

Without doubt, the next cult dress from Loewe.

A gorgeous slip that will never date.

A beautiful (and very European) take on the floral minidress.

Ganni is known for doing excellent dresses, and this new style is no exception.

I just love the ruffled, asymmetric neckline on this.

The colour! The fabric! The simplicity! Stunning.

I love a dress that is comfy but still feels really elevated like this.

Shirt dresses are always so easy to throw on and look chic.

Red dresses always look gorgeous styled with straw accessories.

Cutouts and a cute print!

This works as a poolside cover up or a dress to wear to the office—ideal.

A white ruffled dress is a timeless addition to any wardrobe. Just add a blazer and knee high boots for autumn too.

Nothing says “glamorous summer in Europe” more than a D&G dress.

This print is everything.

Just add tan sandals.

This would make a stunning wedding guest option.

This is so simple, but really elegant. It also looks beautiful without the waist belt for a more relaxed look.

This dress makes such a statement, but it’s still really easy to wear.

Nothing beats a chic white mini dress in summer.

The print, the ruffles, the maxi length… this dress is perfection.

This is the kind of dress you’ll wear again and again, year after year.
