Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda has released a new song “Almost Like Praying,” with proceeds going to the Hispanic Federation for Puerto Rico’s disaster relief efforts following Hurricane Maria.
Hurricane Maria made landfall on Sept. 20 and has has caused at least 36 deaths in Puerto Rico.
The track was written by Miranda and gets its title from the West Side Story song “Maria.” In the music video, also released today, Miranda travels to record with artists in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and Puerto Rico.
