From TikTok to My DMs—23 of My Best Fashion Finds This Week

I stumble upon a lot of sartorial treasures while finding market and doing research for other stories. I can’t tell you how many cool items I’ve screenshotted, copied and pasted, and saved to my Insta folders in a frenzy of inspiration. At the end of the week, I usually go through my phone and the mass of tabs I’ve minimized on my computer and see what I really want to scoop up for myself as well as what could be fun to share with our readers, which is exactly what I’m doing today!

Below, I’m sharing plenty of chic items—from vintage and secondhand pieces to contemporary buys as well as products I’ve found on TikTok, new brands I’ve discovered through my DMs, cool items our editors have shared on Slack, and even pieces I’ve seen on Insta ads—that just may inspire your next fall outfit.

One micro-trend that our editors are loving this season is pretty 3D florals—or what we like to call the rosette trend. These appliqués were all over the runways, embellishing dresses and accessories. If you don’t want to drop $800 on that Coperni dress, then go for this cool hair tie by Spanish brand PardoHats instead. I spotted it on fashion person Blanca Miró and have been obsessed ever since.

Cool-girl Australian brand Dissh has been all over my TikTok lately, and I’ve discovered some seriously chic and elevated pieces that I just have to share. I’m particularly enamored with its trending maxi dresses and skirts, like this gorgeous knit dress (and the one below) that looks way more expensive than its price tag.

After writing a recent story on fall styling tricks, I’ve become obsessed with Jen Azoulay’s leather-vest-over-a-blazer layering situation. While shopping out her look, I found the perfect leather vest on Etsy from Tigon Vintage, which also happens to be one of my new favorite online vintage stores right now.

I do a monthly shopping Q&A on Who What Wear’s IGS, where I answer lots of fashion questions submitted by our readers and followers. One person asked for “the perfect corduroy pants,” which immediately made me remember just how much I love corduroy pants. After basically exploring every pair of corduroy pants on the internet, this Reformation pair was unquestionably one of my favorites. I love them in brown, but I’m also all about this forest green.

No, I probably don’t need another pair of Birkenstocks in my shoe closet, but an Insta ad that popped up for velvet Birkenstocks (I repeat, velvet Birkenstocks) stopped me in my tracks. I want these so badly!

After doing several Zara roundups this week, I added this chic tube dress to my cart. It could seriously pass for designer. I also love the idea of styling it over a tissue-thin turtleneck (as shown on the brand’s website) once the temps start to cool.

Long leather gloves have been on my radar since I spotted them all over the fall/winter 2022 runways. I finally found a reasonably priced pair that looks super luxe, and I fully plan on wearing them all winter with knit dresses, wool coats, blazers… You name it. They’re undisputedly elegant.

Nothing gets me sartorially excited quite like a maxi-length overcoat—a trend fashion people are embracing this season. This of-the-moment silhouette popped up in our trends-and-market Slack channel this week, and now, I can’t get Simon out of my mind.

While doing a story on jacket trends you can find vintage, I found a few that looked like they could have come straight off the fall/winter 2022 runways. This faded ’70s leather bomber jacket is altogether on-trend right now, and I’m also loving the ’90s silhouette below, which you can score for under $100.

I read WWW co-founder Hillary Kerr’s newsletter regularly. (If you don’t, I highly recommend checking it out.) She always has great shopping recommendations, including this versatile and elevated Abercrombie find. It looks expensive but clocks in at $56.

I’m always pleasantly surprised at the small but mighty selection of accessories at COS. On a recent perusal of its site for another story, I came across this pretty pearl-effect hair clip, which is an instant mood boost on a bad hair day! I now wear it all the time.

This silky black dress I found at & Other Stories is giving me all the vintage vibes and is perfect for after-work holiday drinks and the festive season ahead.

I’m a big fan of Donni’s easy, effortless, and fashion-forward basics, and I follow the brand’s Insta for plenty of styling inspo. This sweater tube top is currently in my cart right now.

J.Crew’s button-down game is strong right now, as evidenced by this very special shirt featuring feather-trim cuffs. So fun! I’ll be wearing this all holiday season.

I found this on a visit to Zara this week for a try-on piece I was doing, and I immediately fell in love. It’s incredibly cute, and the striking faux-fur collar gives it a wow factor that I always love to find in a knit.

Belts are trending. What’s even better? Multiple belts are trending. We’ve seen the styling trick on the fashion crowd this season thanks to designers such as Miu Miu spearheading the trend on the runway. Of course, you can just layer on two belts, but I spotted this one at Nordstrom that is perfect for the look.

Okay, how cute is this set? The mini rosettes are adorable, and I would totally wear this cami top with baggy jeans and an oversize cable-knit cardi. It’s a great gift idea for the holidays too.

There are certain items that make such an impression on you that you can’t seem to get them out of your head. Ever since I first laid eyes on Neil J. Rodgers’s Eva Slouch Boots on Instagram, I’ve been utterly obsessed. After DM’ing Neil this week and learning about every detail of the boots, I knew I had to have them. They are classic and versatile and have the perfect heel height. I’ll admit I own a lot of boots, but nothing compares to the quality, comfort, beauty, and elegance of this pair.

Reformation just made the perfect matching knit set. It’s soft, sophisticated, and ideal for those days when you have no time to think. The only hard part is deciding whether to get it in gray or brown.

I love a good Amazon find! I’m really into bold earrings that stand out yet are effortless enough to wear every day. These get great reviews, and no one will guess they’re from Amazon.

While working on an under-$100 fashion story, this H&M jacket immediately caught my eye. I love the ’70s silhouette, yet it feels timeless. You could easily wear it for years to come. How chic would it look with jeans, boots, and a turtleneck?

I can see these recently released retro-cool sneakers taking the fashion crowd by storm.

Another great find I picked up from our editors’ Slack channel is this cool bomber jacket that looks like something a grandad would wear, which is probably why I love it so much.
