Youtube Suspends Trump For At Least A Week

As a result, the president’s channel has received a “strike,” and he is unable to upload new content for at least a week.

“After careful review, and in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence, we removed new content uploaded to the Donald J. Trump channel and issued a strike for violating our policies for inciting violence.” YouTube said in a statement to The Verge. “As a result, in accordance with our long-standing strikes system, the channel is now prevented from uploading new videos or livestreams for a minimum of seven days — which may be extended.”

Trump has also been permanently suspended from Facebook and has been suspended by several other platforms, including Twitter, Shopify, Instagram, AWS, Reddit and others.

Following the violence at the Capitol, nobody wants to take a chance on Trump in case he tries to organize another coup.
