Trump Clowned For Misspelling United States In Formal Answer To Impeachment

Former President Donald Trump’s is being clowned on social media over his response to his impeachment — where he spelled United States wrong.

In Trump’s formal answer to his January 13 impeachment for “incitement of insurrection,” the statement addressed to “The Honorable, the Member of the Unites States Senate.”

That was not the only typo.

The answer also reads: “Article I, Section 3 of the Constitution states’ [j]udgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy AN office of honor…'”

The Constitution actually reads “ANY office of honor.”

Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives on January 13, a week after his supporters stormed Capitol Hill.

“Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election,” Trump tweeted on Dec. 20. “Big protest in DC on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!”

He also told his supporters: “We’re going to walk down to the Capitol and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and Congressmen and women.”

His Senate impeachment trial begins February 8.
