This Dazzling Gucci Necklace Took 300 Hours to Make—Will It Debut at the Oscars?

While fashion has all eyes on Paris where the couture shows are underway, soon everyone will turn their attention to Los Angeles as award season kicks into high gear. Gucci just unveiled its newest High Jewelry pieces in Paris and I couldn’t help but picture the dazzling items making their red carpet debuts at the upcoming Oscars in March. Can you blame me? The jaw-dropping pieces certainly deserve their close-up moments.

One necklace, in particular, stood out to me after I learned that it took a whopping 300 hours to produce and was “inspired by the beauty of shooting stars and the sparkling torrents of a waterfall,” per the press release. “The necklace features diamond-embellished starbursts trimmed with lady-like diamond bows,” Gucci explained. Sounds like a dream. Scroll down to preview Gucci’s new Hortus Deliciarum High Jewelry collection.
