These 35 Wedding Guest Dresses Are Next-Level Beautiful

Wedding ceremonies have looked a little different over the past few years, but if you’re anything like us, you’ll have had invitations coming in by the handful for 2023 celebrations. Being fashion editors, we can’t help but plan our outfits ahead of time, and thankfully, there’s plenty to choose from this season whether you’re in the market for a slick suit or a flowing floral maxi.

There are various factors to consider when choosing an outfit for an important event—the venue, the dress code, even how long the ceremony is going to last—but there’s also the weather. Living in the UK, that usually means considering a jacket for random cold fronts and an umbrella for downpours. But if you’re attending a wedding here before the end of the summer or you have a save the date for autumn, it’s likely to be sunny and warm (here’s hoping, at least!) Luckily, there are plenty of options out there that can keep you looking and feeling amazing on the day. Of course, there are statement suits a plenty and jumpsuit alternatives, but we’d advise saving these for autumn/winter weddings for now. Mini, midi or maxi dresses will be much more comfortable for late summer, and after all, there are hundreds of beautiful ones out there to choose from. From sequins and pleats to silk and organza, we really are spoilt for choice.

The weather be damned, more than anything else, we’re just excited about getting dressed up, putting on heels and painting the town red. If there is an autumn chill in the air, go ahead and accessorise with a boxy boucle jacket or maybe an immaculately tailored coat is more your style. Whichever it is, don’t let the weather stop you, we’ll never say no to a party…  To ensure the most fun is had, you do want to be comfortable, though, and you also want to find a style that you can continue to wear for many years to come. So, focusing our energy on the best of the best frocks, scroll on down to get all the wedding guest dress inspiration you could ever need, neatly categorised by type of dress.
