The World’s Most-Wanted Designer Beauty Brands, and the Items to Buy from Each

As beauty editors, we’re deeply familiar with luxury beauty products. In fact, some of our most well-used items come from high-end design houses like Chanel, Dior, and Valentino. Yes, they’re pricey, but if you’re purchasing the right products, you’ll quickly come to see that they’re staples (like we do).

Now, according to new research conducted by the shopping platform, Ubuy, we know the most popular designer brands in the world. By analyzing different metrics such as global searches, website visits, social media following, and more, the platform was able to rank the most popular brands out of the 100 most renowned. The insights were interesting, so we decided to take them and shop out the best beauty products from each brand. Ahead, see the 18 best beauty products to shop from each one of the highest-ranking designer brands.

Louis Vuitton cinched the top spot as the world’s most popular designer brand with a popularity score of 32.75. While Louis Vuitton doesn’t have the expansive beauty offerings that many other designer brands do, its expertly-crafted fragrances shouldn’t be forgotten.

With notes of pear, jasmine, ylang-ylang, patchouli, ambrette, and narcissus, this is an intoxicating scent that’s floral, warm, and very sophisticated.

If sultry, magnetic scents are your thing, this Louis Vuitton perfume will sit squarely on your vanity for years to come. The freshness of lily of the valley is grounded by earthy notes of gaiac wood and sandalwood.

While it might seem strange that a French design house has a California-inspired fragrance, it really hits all marks. With notes of mandarin, ambrette, benzoin, it’s zesty and warm just like the Golden Coast.

In second place, Dior has a popularity score of 31.73, which is just behind Louis Vuitton’s top-ranking score. We were happy to see Dior on the list, as some of the brand’s makeup products are truly next level. After all, there’s a reason so many Dior products go viral on TikTok.

How could we list the best Dior beauty products without including this iconic item? The cult-classic Lip Glow Oil moisturizes, provides a glossy sheen, and a wash of color if you go with one of the tinted ones.

When this product went viral on TikTok, we had our concerns. How good could bubblegum pink blush really look? The answer is really, really, really good, While it might look rather shocking in the compact, it looks lighter and more subtle when dusted lightly on the skin. We love this one.

This iconic mascara is a classic for a reason. It adds volume, length, and definition to lashes without clumping or looking too, well, obvious. It’s no wonder almost every beauty editor swears by it.

We dare you to find a palette that’s more versatile than this one. Yes, it makes our skin look incredibly glowy no matter where we use it, but the four distinct shades mean it’s a multi-tasking compact. You can use it as blush, eyeshadow, or highlighter.

In the third spot for the world’s most popular designer brand is the one that’s affiliated with celebs like Harry Styles and Dakota Johnson. This is no surprise. Not only is the brand known for its vintage-inspired beauty products, but it also boasts a pretty epic nail polish collection.

This silky pressed powder applies like a dream, warming up the skin and providing definition to facial contours.

These lipsticks are truly matte, yet they don’t feel dry or look unnatural. Instead, they provide a velvety finish with blendable color. The shade range also happens to be pretty epic with over 25 colors to choose from.

This is a delicate take on a traditional gourmand perfume. With notes of pear, white gardenia, and brown sugar, it’s subtly sweet—think the scent of flowers being carried on a summer breeze.

As we said before, Gucci’s nail polish colors are some of the best out there. They’re vibrant and saturated, while also being incredibly trendy. We’re partial to this summery turquoise shade for both our fingers and toes.

This mascara is good. It takes our lashes to new levels of length with bold, black, defining pigment. It’s also highly buildable, so you can start off with a more natural look during the day and add a couple more coats for a bolder look at night. Plus, how pretty is the tube?

We know you were waiting to see where Chanel landed on the list. The answer is in the fourth spot, with a popularity score of 22.15.  Below, shop some of our favorite Chanel beauty products, from an iconic bronzer to the very best foundations we’ve ever tried.

We’ll kick things off with what’s perhaps one of the most iconic Chanel makeup products—this cream bronzer. Yes, it looks incredible in the compact, but it also looks incredible on the skin, offering a soft touch of warm and definition without creasing or creating harsh lines.

If you’re vibe is natural-looking, sunkissed cheeks, we’d recommend this silky pressed powder. The formula is sumptuous, the shades are on point, and the effect is always the same, a soft pop of blended color.

We love the comfortable, moisturizing formula of this lipstick. We also love the high-shine finish it imparts. Did we mention that perfect neutral shade? Trust us, this is pretty much the perfect lipstick for daily wear.

Here is one of our favorite natural-looking foundations, well, ever. It’s lightweight, breathable, flexible, and long-wearing, and it never fails to garner compliments.

Technically, Versace came in sixth place, behind Rolex. However, since we’re talking about the best beauty products here, we decided to skip the watch brand and go straight to the Italian design house. Like Louis Vuitton, Versace doesn’t have a diverse beauty lineup. However, they do have some seriously noteworthy fragrances. See two of our favorites, below.

This iconic perfume has been around for so long because of it’s classic floral notes (at least we think so). With lemon, peony, magnolia, lotus flower, and musk, it’s bright and sweet.

Another fresh and floral fragrance, this one has notes of lemon, Italian mandarin, guava, jasmine and freesia. Together, they create a scent that makes us feel like we’re summering in the Mediterranean.
