It’s been 13 years since Hey Arnold! ended, and even though I’m now a grown-ass woman, I’ve been wondering one thing for all this time: What happened to Arnold’s parents?!

All we really knew about Arnold’s parents, Miles and Stella, was that they had disappeared on a humanitarian mission to San Lorenzo where they were trying to cure people of the “sleeping sickness” and it was so sad:
