The Bag Trend Celebs Wear But Royals Don’t

When I first caught a glimpse of Jennifer Lopez‘s newest outfit, I zeroed in on her Gucci crossbody bag because it’s incredibly chic but most importantly practical. However, it also reminded me of a TikTok video I made (which happened to go viral) about 5 things royals never wear. At the top of the list—you guessed it—were crossbody bags.

As it turns out, the classic bag style is just too casual for working royals, so they gravitate towards more polished pieces instead. As some of the comments pointed out, royals have aides and security to help them with their personal belongings, so why would they need a crossbody anyway? For the rest of us plebians, however, the style is suitable for nearly every occasion under the sun. Scroll down to see some examples of how celebs and royals wear different bag trends
