Shopping Is My Specialty—The Exact Nordstrom Items Shaping My Fall Wardrobe

While everyone’s talking about the newest PSL drink combos on Tiktok, new fall clothes are hitting the stores at a rapid rate. It’s still muggy and hot in Los Angeles, but as soon as the first temperature dip arises I’ll be ready in my trench coat and sweater dress. Fall is not a season that usually excites me, but shopping for new clothes is definitely doing the trick.

A few of my colleagues put me onto Nordstrom’s latest batch of arrivals, which transpired into a late-night shopping session, carefully curating the exact pieces that will be the foundation of my cool weather wardrobe. I’ve found some great dresses that not only look exceptionally comfortable but also timeless in a Parisian-chic type of way. Also in my cart—jackets that look deceptively expensive (even though they’re under a cool $100). But perhaps my favorite section of Nordstrom’s site—its SPACE selection for emerging designers and brands— was chockful of statement pieces like cool skirts and tops that really level up an outfit. To see the full lineup of the pieces shaping my seasonal wardrobe, keep reading.

This tone of beige feels super autumnal.

One thing I’ve settled on this fall is adding more basics—I wear them so much more than I realize. A tank like this is highly versatile.

Black trousers are my new jeans.

I can’t think of a shoe that screams fall more than this pair.

The envelope sleeves are a nice touch that’s not overly trendy.

I’ve been on the anti-pretty shoe train since summer, and I’m going full speed ahead into fall. They’re cool in a grandpa way.

My yearly trench quota has now been filled.

I’m far from preppy, but there’s something so effortless about this that I love. I plan on styling it with brown suede over the knee boots.

For a real leather bag, this is a steal.

Maxi skirts are big for fall, and this one incorporates the lingerie trend also blowing up this season.

Pair this with leather trousers and a white tee.

When I want to be lazy, I’ll surely be throwing on this dress.

Call me crazy, but I’m shocked at this price.

This shade of green is perfectly moody.

I have about a million pairs of blue denim, so I’m switching things up a bit with a gray wash.

As simple as this sweater is, I’ll probably wear it a million times before November. You can’t beat practicality!

The look of a silk cami underneath a blazer is so elegant.

Wedge boot season begins.

I’ve been noticing a lot of cropped blazers like this pop up recently, so it’s only fair to try it out for myself.

I mean this color?! I’m sure studies will show that this color releases endorphins.

Yes, yes yes.

A knit maxi skirt is my holy grail. Stretchy comfort and elegance are usually on opposite ends of the spectrum.

If you know me, you know I got to have a corset in my lineup. (It’s also Tiktok’s most viral trend rn).

I’m dreaming about this cardigan.

Ideal for apple-picking season.

I’ve put white sneakers on pause for now, so these are filling the gap.

Edgy pieces always get my juices flowing.

You can throw a sweater like this over a unitard, a jumpsuit, or a tank top.

A little splurge never hurt.
