Rachel Green’s Style Is Timeless and Chic—34 Fall Pieces She Would Buy Today

No matter how many TV shows I watch (trust me, I watch a lot) there isn’t a character that has had as much of a sartorial impact on me like Rachel Green. It’s not just because I’ve watched Friends more times than I can count, but regardless of what year it is, anything she’s worn always will always come off as stylish to me.I spent years chasing every trend and while Rachel taught me to put more thought into what I want in my wardrobe. While she was definitely no stranger to following a trend here and there, she strongly prioritized a collection of classic pieces that I would still wear today.

From obvious ’90s pieces like slip dresses and mini skirts, to more unexpected trends like suit vests and lingerie-like tops, Rachel Green is proving to still be the ultimate style inspiration. She already is on my moodboard for Fall ’22, so I decided to do some online shopping with her in mind. Despite her looks being over 25 years old, we’re still quick to recreate them, so you know the pieces below will be yours for the long haul.

Heeled boots were Rachel Green’s signature shoe.

I can’t believe this dress isn’t actually from the ’90s, because it sure does look like it.

Pleated and plaid skirts were seen often on Friends.

When Rachel started her career in fashion, she started to incorporate blazers into her wardrobe. She liked them a little bit more fitted, but I just know she’d love this oversized option in 2022.

An LBD is a must, even in the fall—just pair it with stockings or sheer tights.

No Rachel Green look would be complete without the perfect shoulder bag.

Turtleneck weather is approaching.

Add a turtleneck and you’ve got yourself the exact look from above. It’s really that easy.

My favorite part about Rachel’s wardrobe is that she wasn’t afraid to keep it casual with a relaxed and comfy look, which often involved a graphic tee or sweatshirt.

How many plaid mini skirts is too many?

These will get so much wear this season.

Timeless beauty.

if you’ve been reluctant to try out the loose trousers look, this is your chance.

Only Rachel Green could convince me to wan a sheer blouse.

Baby tees are here to stick around.

Fun fact: I actually bought my first pair of overalls because of Rachel Green. I grew out of them, so I’ll be ordering this pair immediately.

Gorgeous.

I may not work at Ralph Lauren or Bloomingdales, but I’ll be wearing this suit to work.

You can’t beat that price.

Another pair of knee high boots for your consideration.

I’ve owned my solid black slip dress for years, and I know the same will happen for this one.

Considering the fact that Rachel spent a large portion working at Ralph Lauren, this choice was obvious. Plus, she had a strong collection of tailored button-down shirts.

It’s hard to resist a comfy cardigan for fall.

Don’t worry, we still have love for the classics too.

Rachel would 100% throw the above cardigan over this lace cami.

Suiting vests are a favorite amongst WWW editors.

The ultimate wardrobe staple.

A great way to get the ’90s handbag look for under $100.

Dream top.

This top may be simple in design but it’s chic as can be. Just imagine it with a slip skirt or mini skirt and stockings—very ’90s.

Just add a baby tee and a cozy cardigan.

The perfect mid-length.

Listen, I know cropped pants are being put on the back burner right now, but seeing them on Rachel makes me think otherwise.

Fall ’22 is all about everything pretty and delicate.
