My Crystal Ball Says These Nail Colours Will Be Everywhere This Month

This might be controversial, but February is actually one of my favourite months. I don’t know whether it’s the fact that January is finally over, or whether it’s because spring feels like it is actually in sight, but I always feel a whole lot more energised and upbeat when the month rolls around. One thing I like to do at the start of February is treat myself to a manicure to kick things off in the best way possible. Don’t ask me why, but when my nails are looking good, I feel so much more put together and ready to tackle what can often be a busy work period ahead. Sometimes I will go for a Valentines-themed manicure, and sometimes I will opt for a more neutral colour to compliment any outfit.

However, this year, I’ve been in a bit of a creative rut, and I have absolutely no idea what nail shade to go for. Therefore, I reached out to Harriet Westmoreland, global ambassador for The GelBottle Inc,and Daisy Kalnina, founder of The GelBottle Incto ask them what they think the biggest February nail colours will be and provide me with some much-needed inspiration. Luckily for me, they had lots of incredible recommendations—many of which I’ve been seeing a lot lately too now I think of it. So I’ve rounded up my favourites below if you’re also struggling to choose. So, without further ado, keep on scrolling for the best February nail colours to try in 2024…

You didn’t think it would be a February nail roundup without red shades, did you? Although January was all about those deeper, darker reds, according to Westmoreland, this month it’s time for a bright pop of colour. “I just know the most popular colour is going to be the new red BIAB from The Gelbottle Inc; Love. It’s very chic and super wearable.”

These chic, bold reds really are the perfect shades for Valentine’s Day and beyond, and look so elevated with shorter nail shapes.

This is the perfect nail polish to make a statement this February.

The Gel Bottle have just released ten new BIAB shades including ‘Love’, which feels very fitting for this month, don’t you think?

If bright colours aren’t your thing, why not opt for a cool-toned white mani? Westmoreland recommends teaming this colour with a shiny top coat for “chic, simple nails with a blue tone.”

I’m personally obsessed with a shiny top coat as I think it gives your nails a really healthy finish.

I don’t know anyone who isn’t a fan of OPI’s Funny Bunny.

If you want to treat yourself, I am obsessed with this shade from Dior.

I’ve been going on and on about baby pink nail polish as I think it’s going to be one of the biggest beauty trends of the season, and it seems that the experts agree. “For clients that don’t want to wear red for Valentine’s month, opt for pinky shades instead,” says Westmoreland.

There is something so chic about this pale pink shade, and it’s perfect for transitioning into the spring and summer months. I mean, if it’s good enough for Rosie, then it’s good enough for us…

How cute is this baby pink shade from Essie?

If you want a slightly softer finish, then Chanel has got you covered.

“For February, we are loving rich, velvety looks that exude cosy sophistication,” says Kalnina. In my opinion, nothing says sophisticated like a glossy black mani, and I’ve been seeing this shade all over Instagram as of late.

Again, this is perfect for those of you who prefer a more monochrome nail look, and this colour will never go out of style.

I mean, it doesn’t get much chicer than this.

This Nails. Inc polish will give you that salon-worthy shine.

Last, but by no means least, February is all about embracing and enhancing your natural nails. One look on social media and you’ll know that this is a huge trend at the moment, and it’s a great option if you want a chic, low-maintenance manicure.

The key to this look is shaping your nails and focusing on keeping your cuticles neat and tidy. You can also apply a sheer polish or clear top coat for that glossy finish.

This moisturising cream is great for taking care of your nails on the go.
