LeBron James Suspended 1 Game After Isiaih Stewart Foul

LeBron James has been suspended for one game following his foul against Pistons player Isaiah Stewart.

Steward was given a two-game suspension for “escalating an on-court altercation by repeatedly and aggressively pursuing … James in an unsportsmanlike manner.” James was given a suspension “for recklessly hitting Stewart in the face and initiating an on-court altercation.”

The suspension is a first for James. He has never been suspended before in his career.

“Everyone in the league knows LeBron’s not a dirty guy,” Anthony Davis said per ESPN after the game. “In fact, when he knew he hit him, as soon as he did it, he looked back at him like, ‘Oh, my bad. I didn’t try to do it.'”

Lakers’ coach Frank Vogel said: “[James] had an elbow [from Stewart] to the rib cage, which was a foul and he was trying to shed the contact. And had incidental contact that was obviously enough for a flagrant 2.
