Kaia Gerber Wore the 2023 Trend That’s Perfect If You Hate Miniskirts

The recent resurgence of Y2K trends has no doubt made some of you nervous. Not everyone wants to revisit low-rise jeans, bolero sweaters, rhinestone jeans, and butterfly clips. I don’t blame you! My personal fashion nemesis from the 2000s is the itty-bitty miniskirt—remember the ones that looked more like belts than skirts?

Thankfully, however, there is an equally popular alternative that’s much more my vibe: full midi skirts, as Kaia Gerber just showed off. Photographed on a shopping excursion in Los Angeles, Gerber wore a cropped cardigan with an A-line skirt and sneakers. Scroll down to re-create the celeb-approved outfit that’s perfect if you hate miniskirts.

On Kaia Gerber: Adidas sneakers

A cropped cardigan is a spring must-have if you ask me.

This Mango skirt is my ideal interpretation of the trend.

This look would not be complete without a pair of retro striped socks.

Adidas Gazelle sneakers are in high demand, but several sizes are still available.

Another worthy contender.

Mango is killing the skirt game right now.

The full-skirt trend isn’t going anywhere this year.

Proenza Schouler always gets it right.
