Nothing screams summer more than a pair of sporty sandals and a printed beachy shirt. Whether you’re starting to dabble with the idea of vacationing again or not, this is a summertime outfit formula I highly recommend.

Yes, it’s possible to dress up your jorts. Throw on a top with a tad more volume and compliment the look with a pair of sleek saturated sandals.

When you find yourself in an outfit slump, just go for the double denim duo. The addition of a strappy heeled sandal will really elevate the look as will any fun jewelry of your choosing.

Add some low-key prep to your jorts with a knit polo and a trendy heeled mule. In this case, I personally prefer looser jean shorts to offset the tailored look of the polo, but to each their own.

I don’t know about you, but this summer I plan on living in baby tees. I love the way this one is styled with a breezy button-up on top and classic jean shorts on the bottom. Pro tip: The kitschier the tee, the better.

If you’re looking for more of a transitional way to style your jean shorts, copy this look here. Adding heavier elements like a sweatshirt and lug-sole boots will instantly add a unique edge to a basic that’s usually reserved for warm summer days.

Calling all blazer girls, this one is for you. While your blazer certainly doesn’t have to be cropped, we happen to like the look when paired with a more relaxed pair of jean shorts. Overall, however, a blazer always looks good with jorts, period.

Transition your casual jean shorts into more of a going-out look via a printed second-skin top and sultry knee-high boots.

Chances are you bought one too many sweater vests over the course of the last 6 months. Well, the good news is they look really good with jorts so you can continue to get good use out of your collection for at least another 6 months.
