I’m a Fashion Editor and These Are the 8 Spring Outfits I Dream About Daily

Let’s talk spring outfits: I know you’ve probably already begun buying light wash denim and floral dresses by now, and with post-lockdown life on the horizon, I thought I’d share a few note-worthy outfits that make a great case for being seen. Socially distanced events and brunches are slowly creeping back on the calendar, and my own excitement for going out again has boiled over in the form of spring outfit preparation. With the burden of layers behind us, it’s the prime season to really flex those sartorial muscles. Colorful knit separates in vibrant shades and charming bustier tops are a few of the styles we’ve been noticing on the Instagram fashion set–with high-impact prints making a big splash too. All of these trends look effortlessly cool and right on the money, and thanks in part to the outfits below, are sitting in my shopping cart right now. I’m sure you’ll find plenty of inspiration from these outfit pics too, so keep scrolling to see the looks I can’t stop thinking about for spring.

A waist-defining corset top, raw hem jeans, and strappy black sandals create an uncomplicated, yet chic post-lockdown outfit we’ve been itching to wear.

It’s officially leather jacket weather–but instead of a moto, try a leather blazer. Style it the fashion girl way with a fun graphic designer t-shirt, a sculptural bag, and tailored trousers.

Party pants–basically printed statement pants–are gaining steam among brands and fashion it-girls alike. Since it’s an attention-grabbing item on its own, a plain white t-shirt and silver chunky hoops are all that’s needed to tie the look together.

Use colored sunglasses to punch up a spring dress–contrasting hues bring even more visual interest.

A palette of whites captures the fresh feeling of spring. To break up the monotony, style with different textures like faux leather and a ribbed knit to create contrast.

When in doubt, high waist trousers and a crop top are an award-winning formula. Add in a loose button-down for a more polished approach.

Silky dresses will forever be a warm-weather staple, but if you’re clueless about which colors to choose from you can’t go wrong with green. Next to bubblegum pink, shades of green like pistachio and mint are blowing up big for the season. Finish out your look with footwear from the same color family for chic coordination.

Simon Miller’s ribbed knit coordinates are the epitome of easy dressing. Platform clogs create a retro edge we’re lowkey loving.
