I Went Shopping at Nordstrom, Zara, and H&M for All The Big Spring Color Trends

It might feel like spring and summer are far off in the untouchable distance, but the seasons will shift before you (or your wardrobe) know it. We’re prepping for that seasonal shift right now, by shopping the 5 biggest color trends of the year. These colors run the gamut from soft and springy (there’s a creamy, pastel yellow that we’ve coined mellow yellow) to bold and bright (there’s a vivid neon orange that we call tiger tangerine). The only thing these lively hues have in common is that they’re currently rolling out in trendy pieces from our favorite stores.

Speaking of our favorite stores…we’ve combed through hundreds of items on Nordstrom, Zara, and H&M, in order to find the best pieces for spring, in the best colorways. Keep scrolling to see all of the 30 items we found. These are sure to put a little spring in your mid-winter step.

This ruffled top is the definition of soft and springy.

Add a little mellow yellow to your workwear with this streamlined blazer. Bonus points if you pair it with the matching High-Waisted Belted Pants ($50).

If your workwear looks a little more casual these days (hi, WFH people), invest in a trendy sweatsuit. Pair this sweatshirt with matching Sweatshorts ($18) or Cotton-Blend Joggers ($25).

These ruched sandals are springy and slouchy and perfect.

A cozy sweater with dramatic balloon sleeves is just what we need.

These wide-leg jeans are insanely easy to style. Pair them with a slouchy sweater and slides or a tight turtleneck and ankle boots.

We love an asymmetrical button-down.

The bubblegum pink shade, paired with the chunky chain detail, makes these heels worthy of any maximalist’s closet.

This mod knit dress is perfect for spring, from the high neck to the slit in the hemline.

Wide leg jeans in bubblegum pink? Yes, please.

This asymmetric wrap top is on the top of our shopping list.

Bring bubblegum pink into your bag collection with this mini bucket bag.

A satin mini skirt is always in season.

We love an oversized sweater vest in an eye-catching color.

A blazer dress never gets old, especially when it comes in a bold and confident shade like magenta.

The ribbed design of these bike shorts makes for an interesting combination of color and texture.

This vintage-inspired bodysuit is perfect for springtime layering.

Wear this magenta sweater with high-waisted jeans or trousers for a smart office look.

This dress is a modern take on ’60s style.

Ruffles are in. Tiger tangerine is in. This shirt is in.

You still need sweaters come spring. We suggest reaching for this striking option.

This cropped tee is anything but basic with a ruching detail on either side.

Everyone needs a comfortable pair of slides for spring and summer.

The vivid shade of this dress is balanced out by its simple silhouette.

The easiest way to incorporate tennis ball green into your wardrobe is through your athletic wear. Start with these bike shorts.

This midi skirt is brought into the modern era thanks to its sporty design and bright chartreuse shade.

Wear this basic tank alone or layer it under other vibrant pieces for a color blocking moment.

A basic turtleneck is given a good upgrade when it comes in tennis ball green.

The perfect minimal sandal does exist, and it’s right here.

Another color and another chance to wear balloon sleeves.
