I Thought I Had No Clothes, But I Own Everything I Need for These 9 Easy Looks

I know firsthand that there’s nothing more annoying than being challenged after saying (or yelling) “I have nothing to wear,” but I’m sorry—I must tell you that I’m here today to do just that. But the truth is we all have countless cute pieces in our wardrobes or, at the very least, enough basics to put together outfit after outfit. What I realised can be lacking at times is the creativity or inspiration to do so.

With that in mind, I went looking—on Instagram, of course—for outfit ideas that I knew could be replicated with clothes I already own, and honestly, it was pretty easy. After finding a plethora of looks, I narrowed down my nine favourites to share with you here today because, as always, I’ve got your back. To see which made the cut and, of course, shop them if you so please—because, after all, this is Who What Wear—just keep scrolling.

Style Notes: And don’t even worry about trying to match all your colours perfectly. In fact, this look proves that it might even work better when you don’t.

Swap trainers for heels to take this from day to night.

Black dresses as just as handy for summer as their white counterparts; in fact, I’d argue they look even chicer, especially paired with co-ordinating black accessories and gold earrings.

The chicest way to finish any outfit.

Slick tailoring can look relaxed styled with a simple tank.

Skirts are the moment this year, and Olivia perfectly demonstrates how to style a full midi in a low-key way; with a cropped knit, tote, and velcro sandals.

Because knitwear still comes in handy during a British summer.

Such a great silhouette.

Make any old dress feel completely new by layering a cute cardigan over it.

This cute cardi also comes in pink and khaki.

Falling for the daisy motif.

Yes, it is that simple, and boy doesn’t it work!

An elegant offering.

These look great with mules, trainers or sandals.

Pro tip: Opt for a light linen blazer to serve as the perfect topper for summer nights.

This linen blazer has gone straight in my basket.
