I Just Spent a Week in St. Barts—Here’s Every Single Thing I Wore

There’s a first time for everything, and for thisfashion editor’s first-ever trip to St. Barts, she was not playing around—at least not when it came to the outfits. Especially after what has felt like a never-ending cold-weather season, preparing to dress for a beach vacation was like starting completely from scratch. With that in mind, I knew that I’d have to plan all of my outfits in advance in order to have a stress-free trip—not throw a bunch of things into a suitcase and pray it all goes well once I get there.

While it did feel like a lot of work beforehand, the preparation really did pay off. Every day when I got ready in the morning or evening, I knew exactly what my outfit options were and what accessories or undergarments they needed. I even had a couple of backups for when plans unexpectedly changed. Interested to see how things panned out? Just keep scrolling for all 11 of my day and night looks and, of course, to shop each one.

It isn’t technically beachwear, but when I found this Blumarine set on major sale, I knew it would make the perfect cover-up. I opted to wear the top backward for a look that felt more me.

I actually bought this LBD for an event in early winter, and when I was going through my closet for outfit inspiration, I thought it would also work for warm weather when styled with sandals. I think I was right!

Up there with my favorite outfits, these pieces are all older styles I already owned but, thankfully, are still available in alternate colors, and they go together perfectly.

Another sale find was this 16Arlington cardigan. I never thought of sequins for “summer,” but in white, I felt like it really worked. I paired the top with an old Zara mini and tied it together with fun accessories.

This little look from Monday Swimwear was exactly what I wanted for a boat day: on theme, easy to wear, and classic.

For possibly my first foray into the low-rise trend since my teens, I couldn’t wait to wear this fun skirt by Des_Phemmes with a simple tank.

I bought this set before my trip because I knew it would be something I’d use all spring and summer. I’m obsessed with the bandana print and blue color scheme. It was also perfect for pairing with a white bikini.

Few brands do resortwear as well as SIR, and I think this little white set proves that. Just try to ignore the wrinkles.

I’m the first to admit that dressing in color (and pairing different colors) is far from my specialty, so I was actually quite proud when I thought of pairing this blue set from With Jéan with a green bikini. Thoughts?

It’s no secret that I love a matching set and even more so when on vacation. It always feels put-together, and all you have to do is accessorize.

Queen of beachwear Louisa Ballou never disappoints. I loved this blue print and chose to pair it back with a simple skirt and bikini, both in solid black.
