Here’s How Fashion Girls Are Styling Their Hair This Spring

It’s been a while since I’ve stepped up my hair game (anyone else just washing and air-drying?), so I could certainly use some inspiration when it comes to revitalizing my dull locks.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been scouring Instagram high and low to see how some of our favorite fashion girls from around the world are styling their hair right now as we approach the warm season ahead. From short swoopy bob haircuts to youthful middle parts and ’90s hair accessories, below I’m sharing some of the most popular styles cool girls are loving this season and the key products you need to create them. Keep scrolling to get your strands ready for spring and summer.

Long, soft, and flowy curtain bangs are a hugely popular choice among fashion girls right now. They’re perfect for when you want to do something different with your hair but don’t quite want to commit to full fringe bangs. They gently split open in the center and sit just along the cheekbones giving the face a subtle slimming effect not to mention elevating the look of ponytails or messy buns.

Use a blowout primer to banish any frizz.

Create volume and bounce with a round brush.

For control, smoothness, and shine use a hairdryer with a concentrator to define their shape.

Yeah, okay, we know Gen Zers have told us that side parts are officially out. (We say part your hair on personal preference—if you don’t like a middle part, just skip this one!) There is no denying, however, that middle parts are trending—we’ve spotted the fashion set sporting the style with low buns to bouncy waves.

Apply this smoothing oil to damp (or dry) hair for a smooth and shiny style.

Ideal for separating hair.

Run a flat iron through your hair for a smooth and face-framing effect.

When it comes to hair accessories, last spring we saw plenty of padded headbands and hair clips adorn lustrous locks. This year, we’re seeing fashion girls opt for chic scarves around their strands—exuding a chic vintage style look that feels fresh. (Moreover, they’re the perfect accessory when you’re having a bad hair day.)

The bob is proving to be one of the most popular cuts this season—perhaps because it looks so amazing across all hair textures. Whether you go for blunt and bouncy with a deep sweep or lots of messy texture and bangs, you’ll be sure to look cool and on-trend.

Perfect for using on dry hair to break up waves and add definition. (It’s also great for reviving a two-day-old blow-dry that’s fallen a little flat.)

For a sleek and shiny bob add this smoothing spray to your strands before you blow-dry.

Whether you’re going for a sleek or tousled bob, a great blow dryer will give you a quick and easy desired result (just add a diffuser or concentrator) and finish with texturizing balm.

Talking of short hair, we’ve seen a rise in big chops these past few seasons (with women wanting to feel a sense of newness), and pixie cuts are reigning supreme. A super-short, super-tapered cut accentuates shiny, healthy-looking hair and is very easy to maintain.

Work this soft molding paste in your hair using your fingers to add texture to fine hair and help smooth unruly hair.

Keep your pixie style neat with a half-inch iron for short hair. It’ll leave hair smooth and shiny.

This leave-in serum smooths strands and adds glossy shine.

Nineties hair claws are back! Spotted on fashion girls around the globe, it’s all about showing them off this spring so opt for a colorful or textured one to liven up your locks.

Talking of the ’90s, we’re spotting a big nostalgic hair revival this season with fashion girls getting playful with their hairdos. Think braids, space buns, mini ponytails, and half-up half-down styles.

If there’s one accessory that says the ’90s it’s butterfly clips.

If you have frizzies or dry ends, this one’s for you.

It’s not the ’90s without hairspray. Luckily, this one’s not sticky.
