Adult Film Star Jenna Jameson Does Not Have Guillain-Barré Syndrome

After reports that adult film star Jenna Jameson had been hospitalized with Guillain-Barré syndrome, sources now say that although she is in hospital, she does not have the syndrome.

“Jenna is still in the hospital. She doesn’t have the Guillain-Barré syndrome,” her partner Lior Bitton said in a video posted on Jameson’s Instagram.

“It was confirmed by the doctor after a second test and five rounds of IVIG [a therapy treatment for patients with antibody deficiencies]. So, she does not have the Guillain-Barré. … We’ll keep you posted soon.”

The CDC says the syndrome is a “rare, autoimmune disorder in which a person’s own immune system damages the nerves, causing muscle weakness and sometimes paralysis.”

Jameson was previously hospitalized and sent home.

“Then she came back home and she couldn’t carry herself,” Bitton said. “Her muscles in her legs were very weak. So she wasn’t able to walk to the bathroom. She was falling on the way back or to the bathroom, I would have to pick her up and carry her to bed. And then within two days, it got really not so good, her legs started to not hold her, she wasn’t able to walk.”
