A Few Incredibly Striking Celeb Beauty Looks That I’m Desperate to Try

There’s no shortage of beauty inspiration these days; whether it’s “model cheekbones” or “siren eyes,” a new TikTok trend seems to pop up daily. In other words, the swell of new looks to try can also be overwhelming. If you’re anything like me, sometimes it can be nice to head back to the relatively peaceful waters of Instagram and gather some inspiration from the original influencers, aka celebrities.

I have an Instagram folder called “must-try beauty looks” (feel free to steal this idea), in which I have hundreds of posts saved from celebs and their trusty glam squads. I’m feeling generous, so in honor of the holidays, I’m sharing some of the very best (in my humble opinion) thanks to icons such as Vanessa Hudgens, Hailey Bieber, Lizzo, and more. Ahead, find 15 of the best celebrity makeup looks and hairstyles to try in 2023, plus the products that will help you copy them.

Hailey Bieber is usually the Queen of Glazed Donut Beauty, so when she changes up her look, it’s a moment. Her bordeaux lipstick isn’t just a surprising choice; it’s also completely gorgeous.

This matte formula lasts up to 10 hours, and the deep-red hue looks great on nearly every skin tone.

The supermodel just made me forget all about the smoky eye thanks to this technicolor eye makeup look.

This Danessa Myricks palette has similar green and blue hues to what Smalls used, plus a dozen other shimmery, bold shades to experiment with.

Winged eyeliner and a ribbon can lean retro, but Kate Hudson makes the pairing feel fresh again with blown-out hair and tons of earrings.

Finally: an excuse to scoop up this adorable Hillhouse Home grosgrain bow, which comes in a bevy of colors.

The Euphoria star may be known for her onscreen eye makeup, but off-screen, it’s just as dramatic. Case in point: this foil cat eye that perfectly complements her LaQuan Smith breastplate.

Teamed with classic black, this inexpensive but long-wearing liquid liner from Nyx will give you a similar look to Sweeney’s.

Black lipstick is daring, to be sure, but as Lizzo demonstrates, the look can be oh so striking.

A nonnegotiable with black lipstick? It has to be smudge-proof. This cream formula is just that (plus transfer-proof) but has avocado oil so it won’t dry out lips.

The Squid Games breakout star accented her Emmys look with an eye-catching hair accessory, worn along her part.

Jennifer Behr’s gem-encrusted floral barrette is an art piece in itself, no matter where you place it in your hairstyle.

Plum shadow is such a pretty alternative to neutrals but, as the Bridgerton star demonstrates, all the more striking.

A shadow pencil makes application a breeze; simply outline your eye, fill in the lid, and blend with your finger.

Vanessa Hudgens captioned this photo, “She’s a vibe,” which is precisely how I feel about her dramatic cat eye.

Even if you’re shaky with liquid liner like I am, this liner pen is practically foolproof.

I’m team SPF all the way, but I can’t deny how cute the faux-sunkissed look is on Addison Rae.

A cream blush looks the most natural for this trend. Try it in a slightly deeper, rosier shade as opposed to something pink or peach.

Thanks to Gemma Chan’s pretty powder blue look here, I’m no longer afraid to go matchy-matchy with my eye shadow and my dress.

The dimensional shimmer in this Sisley Paris shade keeps the shadow from looking dated.

Two-toned hair isn’t going anywhere, and I love how Eve Hewson highlighted her color with this sleek half-up style

If you’re going to go for it, you want it to stay as slick-straight as possible. T3’s flat iron always does the trick, and the nine temperature settings ensure it won’t overheat hair.

Red lips are a forever classic, but every time Lily Collins wears them, they look totally new again.

Lancôme’s red keeps selling out, and for good reason: It’s super creamy and moisturizing yet lasts up to 18 hours.

As if I didn’t love Richa Moorjani’s turquoise bottom liner enough, pairing it with loads of peachy blush is *chef’s kiss*.

Urban Decay’s cult classic eyeliner really does glide on, making it easy to get that just-right smudge.

All I want is to borrow Maude Apatow’s Loewe dress and copy her sleek space buns—is that such a big ask, universe?

It may be a big ask after all, but a non-sticky gel like this one from Bumble and Bumble will at least help with the hairstyle part.

Dua Lipa is a one-woman Y2K revival, and she’s bringing back chunky glitter in a big way. But instead of slathering body glitter all over, why not try this fun sparkly eye?

This aloe-infused gel is like the body glitter you used to know and love, only way better (plus, it comes off so easily).
