7 Trends I’m Buying at Zara (and 7 I’m Skipping)

Zara must have a bona fide crystal ball when it comes to trends. Every season, the Spanish retailer has the uncanny ability to identify the exact runway trends that will be huge—and then bring them to us at a comparatively low price point with plenty of styling ideas, to boot! When it comes to predicting the viral potential of certain styles, Zara just gets it. Since I scour Zara’s site almost daily (It’s part of the job!) I always know what styles are trending at any given moment. And Zara’a lineup for spring and summer has plenty for us to get sartorially excited about.

After ransacking the site in depth, I wanted to bring you seven standout styles I plan on buying because they feel fresh and of the moment. I’ve also included what I’m skipping (for now). Keep scrolling for plenty of shopping inspiration from Zara for spring and summer.

Metallics are having a moment, with lustrous silver currently a favorite among the fashion set. Zara is all over the trend right now with a generous offering of swoon-worthy silver shoes, bags, and jewelry. Or, if you want a look that makes a statement, opt for a pair of silver pants paired with a white tank.

The fashion set has favored cargo pants for a few seasons now, and the trend continues to dominate this spring, especially if Zara has anything to do with it. But cargo pants are surprisingly versatile, and it’s easy to style them with almost everything. So skip the leather pants for now, and opt for a utility-inspired style instead.

Crochet, pointelle, and other open-knit fabrics are blowing up on Zara right now, helping us ease into the summer season in style. In fact, you’ll find so many pretty dresses, tops, and skirts on Zara you’ll instantly be in a warm-weather mindset.

Be it on tops or dresses, the strapless silhouette was spotted all over the S/S 23 runways. This trend leans into the ’90s aesthetic we’ve seen everywhere this season. From vacation dresses to tube tops, Zara has a chic lineup of strapless styles.

While skinny jeans will always be around, loose and relaxed wide-leg styles are getting all our attention now. Zara has plenty of cool options. From low-slung to high-waisted, there is a pair of baggy jeans tp suit every sartorial taste.

One of the more dominant trends on the spring and fall runways in 2023 was a vibrant chili-pepper red. Whether you go for a head-to-toe look or prefer to only add a pop of color via a handbag or socks, this shade is sure to reinvigorate your look. From Mary-Jane shoes to draped dresses, Zara has a ton of styles to help you jump on the trend.

There is so much gorgeous draping and ruching at Zara right now, and it’s too good to resist. I’ll be bypassing the peasant-style tiered hems of summers past and snagging a draped dress or top instead.
