When I look back on this year’s style moments, I see an ocean of knitwear. Of course, there’s the puff-sleeve tops, ruched-bodice dresses, lug-sole boots, but mostly there were ribbed-knit tanks, sweater midi dresses, matching cardigan and tank sets, and of course, matching loungewear. It was the year where we were not only allowed to get more casual but, in fact, encouraged to wear knit from head to toe. And naturally, I got picky. By the end of it, I found myself craving the softest, most versatile pieces that would have a home in my wardrobe for years to come, so I knew where I needed to go.
Eileen Fisher‘s selection of sustainable knitwear is always filled with timeless pieces that can be mixed and layered together to create super-chic looks. Within minutes of browsing the site, I had so many tops, bottoms, cardigans, and dresses in my cart, I needed to tell myself to slow down. (And, honestly, I’m not just adding knitwear: There were a few silk and denim items that caught my attention, too, because I’m never one to shy away from mixing fabrics.) Check out which items I’m eyeing below.
