What a 23-Year-Old, 33-Year-Old, and 55-Year-Old Are Buying From Zara

As fashion editors and essentially expert shoppers, there’s no denying that Zara is one of our favorite shopping destinations. From stalking the latest arrivals and curating extensive wish lists to revealing the must-have items that are bound to sell out within minutes, we’re Zara connoisseurs, if you will. Aside from the luxury of on-trend pieces at an affordable price and the accessibility and ease of shopping at Zara, perhaps the best attribute is that there is something for everyone at any age.

We sat down with three women who are avid Zara shoppers at varying ages to discover what exactly they are eyeing on the site right now: 23-year old marketing rep Talia Mendal, 33-year-old Vanity Fair market editor Kia D. Goosby, and 55-year-old fashion creative Renia Jaz. While their picks are indeed different, they share a common theme of enjoying the ease of effortless dressing through indulging in elevated loungewear pieces. They’re even after some of the same must-have items for the season like faux-leather blazers, cozy knit separates, and statement coats. Ahead, keep scrolling to discover what fashion items these women are buying right now and why each item deserves a space in their wardrobes.

“This is just a practical overcoat that isn’t too expensive. It’s not particularly bold or exciting, but just looks like it would fit well as a coat to wear around NYC in the winter that would match with pretty much any outfit.”

“I’d also buy this as another coat to have when it’s not too cold out. Again, for a mid-season coat, it seems like a good option since it’s not too pricey. I wouldn’t rely on it to keep me that warm since it doesn’t close, but I do like the emerald color and it seems easy to throw over almost any outfit.”

“This seems like a cozy sweater to throw on in the winter. It’s reasonably priced and would go with almost any bottoms.”

“This top goes with anything and it’s so easy to dress up or wear with sweats. I actually have this top and wear it all the time (need it in more colors!). The texture makes it a bit nicer than a regular tight crop top. It’s super comfortable and easy to wear. It’s also not too cropped so it goes really well with any high-waisted bottoms.”

“This top is reasonably priced and doesn’t look cheap. It’s a blouse I could see myself wearing for so many occasions. I love simple, easy-to-wear tops, so I would definitely add this to my cart. Also, I’d probably wear the oyster-white more, but I love sky-blue too.”

“This just seems like a good, basic comfortable knit tank. I’d get this just to lounge around at home in.”

“I love these pants. Again, they’re super well-priced. They look nice enough to dress up, and the elastic waistband is a huge plus because it seems super comfortable too.”

“I actually just added these to my cart! These are just good basic sweatpants that aren’t overpriced. They’re not too exciting or crazy, but they seem to fit the model well and look cozy and comfy to lounge around in.”

“I love the print on these pants. The fit seems super flattering and they definitely seem like pants I would wear a ton.”

“I have been eyeing this faux-leather blazer for a while, and I think it’s finally time to pull the trigger. It’s such a chic staple to have for this time of year.”

“I am starting to actually miss getting dressed to go somewhere, and jumpsuits remind me of a time when I did. I love this one for its khaki green color and cool factor. I plan to wear it with a cream turtleneck underneath.”

Shop the matching Knit Sweater  ($40). “These days, getting dressed in a cozy knit set is really what motivates me. You can never have too many and this one is too good to let it get away.”

“This sweater stopped me in my tracks the moment I saw it. The polo collar and the pockets are so perfect for right now.”

“I love a fancy legging, and these are lovely. Since I’m going nowhere fancy at the moment, I’ll pair with the cool sweater above and just look chic around the house.”

“I am loving the idea of wide-leg pants as an alternative to sweats. This cream pair is simply divine.”

“Typically, winters in Atlanta are not super cold, but the temperature can drop. So on days where it’s not as frigid, this plaid shirt will be great to layer with for my walks around the neighborhood.”

“There is nothing I love more right now than a good knit vest, which looks great over a plain white tee BTW. This one is almost sold out, so I better act fast.”

“I am loving the rhinestone detail this season, especially on heels! They will compliment any outfit!”

“We all need that one simple black dress with a twist that’s perfect for any occasion. This is it! And it will never go out of style.”

“Puffer jackets are my absolute must-have this winter! They are comfy and stylish. Plus you will never feel cold in them!”

“Another puffer!”

“Belted coats are another must-have of mine. Easy to style in a perfect shade of green.”

“I’m a big fan of blazers. My go-to way of wearing them is with jeans and a roll-neck knit.”

“This is the perfect cozy sweater to layer with a roll-neck knit.”

“I believe that we all need a shearling coat in our wardrobe, and this one is in the most perfect shade of yellow. Perfect piece and so easy to style!”

“Same with these!”

“Whenever I feel like I have nothing to wear, I reach for a knit dress. Wear them with boots and puffer jackets and you are ready to go!” Up next, discover the Zara fashion finds we think everyone will be wearing in 2021.
