UFC welterweight Mike Perry has issued a public apology for his use of the N-word.
He says he won’t do it again.
Back in 2018, he said he was allowed to use the word because a DNA kit said that he was two percent African.
The new father took to social media to correct his mistake:
“I know some won’t care but some might appreciate this. This is for my son and me as a son to be different than my father. Also black history month,” Perry wrote. “I would like to apologize for any time I ever said n*gga , [sic] plain and simple you won’t hear it from me anymore.”
Last year, he was recorded getting in an altercation at a restaurant, where he was seen yelling at an older man and shouting the n-word multiple times. He was soon escorted out of the restaurant before he eventually gets into a physical confrontation with another man, punching him and knocking him to the ground.
