Comedian Trevor Noah has reportedly broken up with his girlfriend, Minka Kelly.
A source told People they have decided to call it quits after a year of dating.
The couple never publicly discussed or confirmed their relationship but sources have repeatedly confirmed they were a couple and they have been seen out many times together.
“They’re making plans for a future together, and it’s a very stable relationship,” a source said in January to People. “They’ve been spending time between coasts over the last year and had been looking for a place in L.A. as a couple.”
Noah made headlines last May after he made a powerful speech about racism following the Amy Cooper incident. Cooper called the cops on a Black man in a park. She claimed he was aggressive. He was not. The incident was captured on tape.
“What’s really interesting about what’s happening in America right now is that a lot of people don’t seem to realize how dominoes connect — how one piece knocks another piece that knocks another piece, and in the end creates a giant wave,” said Noah. “Each story seems completely unrelated, and yet at the same time, I feel like everything that happens in the world connects to something else in some way, shape, or form. And I think that this news cycle that we witnessed in the last week was a perfect example of that. Amy Cooper, George Floyd, and the people of Minneapolis.”
