This Classic, Super-Warm Coat Is a Best Seller Year After Year

When winter hits, it’s time to pull out the big guns when it comes to outerwear. Enter, Moncler. The performance brand is renown for its coats (and boots) that’ll protect you from the harshest of elements, and celebrities including Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Dua Lipa are among some of the French label’s most-loyal fans.

Founded in 1952 in a little Alpine village in France (called Monestier-de-Clermont), the label started by creating mountaineering gear such as tents, sleeping bags and a hooded cape. Putting the technical warm-weather skills into practice, the brand later launched its first down-padded coat a couple of years later in 1954. And, well, the rest shall we say, is history. Now Moncler is easily one of the most-recognised brands worldwide when it comes to warm-weather pieces and is often positioned in the top-tier of high-resistance and protective coats and jackets.

If the technical, heat-retaining, thermal elements of the brand’s outerwear isn’t enough to spark your interest, then the designs certainly will. The longline ‘Parnaiba’ iteration is proving to be the brand’s most popular coat in recent months, but more iconic cropped styles such as the ‘Maya’ has been re-released, proving that the puffer will never date.

Alessandra Ambrosio matches a berry cropped Moncler coat to her tonal outfit.

Dua Lipa wore a full look from the Moncler x Richard Quinn designer collaboration a few years back.

Because we all know it’s the colour of the season.

This quilted fleece two-tone jacket is one of my favourites. So good with jeans.

Cosy from neck to ankles.

Yes you read that right, this coat has cashmere in it for extra cosiness.

Pink and green is the unlikely colour combination that always works.

Such a big fan of this style in cobalt blue.

Love the removable padded scarf on this one.

In collaboratuin with Adidas, this khaki cover-up has the brand’s iconic three lines and poppers down the arms.

You can also get a matching mini dress to go with this one. Chic.

A classic that’ll never fail.

This shade of pink works so well with chocolate brown.

Love, love, love this faux fur update on the longline puffer.

You don’t want to miss out on this Rick Owens collab.

Another great option from the Rick Owens edit.

An easy everyday style

Here to liven up every winter outfit.

Say hello to your new work to weekends (and everything in between) jacket.

Bound to sell out, fast.

You could use this as a liner jacket under a longer winter coat.

You’ll be like a toasty marshmallow in this wool and cashmere style

Perfect for the snowy slopes.

If you don’t like feeling to swamped by fabric, this slightly nipped in waist style will feel more fitted.

A puffer vest is always a good alternative to a big coat.

And another alternative to Moncler’s more classic puffers, is this down-filled shearling jacket. Swoon.

You have to see the back of this one.
