Y’all already know the darn drill. Here at BuzzFeed we LOVE a Disney character reimagining, and recently artist Heather Theurer raised the bar with her STUNNING reproductions, which sees our favorite Disney icons as classical oil paintings.
“Life is what inspires me. It’s interesting, in retrospect, I’ve noticed that most, if not all, of my paintings spawn from experiences I was going through at the time,” Theurer told BuzzFeed. “And one of the truest joys I’ve ever had are those shared with my viewers when they connect with those same (or similar) emotions and revelations.”
Anyway, here are just a FEW of her unbelievable pieces:
Lilo and Stich, Lilo and Stich (2002)
Elsa and Anna, Frozen (2013)
Mulan, Mulan (1998)
Mr. Toad, The Wind in the Willows (1949)
Ariel, The Little Mermaid (1989)
Dumbo, Dumbo (1941)
Merida, Brave (2012)
Tiana, The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tinker Bell, Peter Pan (1953)
Rapunzel, Tangled (2010)
And finally, Belle, Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Basically, I turn into Indiana Jones whenever I see one of Theurer’s detailed works:
