We’re just a few months into 2019 and we’ve already seen some fantastic celebrity engagement rings. From stunning solitaires to vintage designs, this is proving to be an exciting year for ring watchers everywhere.
Alex Rodriguez & Jennifer Lopez
After dating for two years, Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez finally put wedding rumors to rest. In early March, A-Rod got down on one knee. On a beach. At sunset. Could it get any more romantic?
While the couple hasn’t announced a wedding date yet, the world has gotten a good look at Lopez’s emerald cut solitaire. At an estimated 15 carats, it’s a ring that’s hard to miss. The simple white gold or platinum band is the perfect showcase for this breathtaking diamond. Diamonds that are that large and clear are rare and expensive. Estimates for this ring are a cool $1 million.
Chris Pratt & Katherine Schwarzenegger
Does it get any more adorable than Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger? This couple was pretty serious from the get-go, so we knew an engagement would be a matter of “when” and not “if.” Pratt popped the question with a classic oval cut solitaire set on a thin band. Depending on the ring’s specifications, the six-carat beauty would have cost in the ballpark of $150,000 to $200,000.
Orlando Bloom & Katy Perry
The on-again/off-again couple let the world know they were back “on” for good by getting engaged on Valentine’s Day. Perry’s one-of-a-kind ring is an early 1900s inspired flower shape. The pink center stone is surrounded by eight circle cut diamond “petals.”
It’s up for debate whether the larger stone is a ruby or a colored diamond. Neither Bloom or Perry have publicly commented on the stone, so there’s a wide estimate of anywhere from $250,000 to $5 million for this ring.
