“Beauty and The Beast” heads to the big screen in March, but the wait got a little shorter on Thursday when Disney released a new sneak peek.
The clip offers fans a glimpse at Emma Watson (Belle) and “Downton Abbey” alum Dan Stevens (Beast) during a table read for the film.
In the opening moments of the teaser, there’s also a sneak peek at the ballroom, complete with piano and chandeliers, and a preview of what characters Lumière and Cogsworth will look like on the big screen.
Director Bill Condon also explains in the clip why the time was right for the live-action version of the animated classic.
“When something is so perfect, why get near it? The answer is technology has caught up to the ideas that were introduced in that movie,” he says in the clip.
