The singer was nominated for her song “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and she showed up to the red—ahem, champagne carpet with some of the best Oscars makeup we saw all night. 

“We wanted to create a monochromatic makeup look with a maple red lip and highlight, punctuated by strong black eyeliner, to echo the structure of Rihanna’s gown,” Fenty Beauty Global Makeup Artist Priscilla Ono shared in a press release. Rihanna’s dusty red lip stood out as a fresh twist on a classic.
