The pandemic dramatically impacted the work we do, where we do it and whether we still had a gig at all.
This reporter mostly rode out the virus storm, professionally speaking. Our local school lockdowns, however, meant I had to toil alongside my two homeschooling sons.
That meant the end of The Hollywood in Toto Podcast. It’s impossible to find time to record a weekly HiT ‘cast with a house brimming with little boy Sturm und Drang.
I love podcasting, and the show allowed me to interview some of the most impactful people in the culture.
Think:
- Dennis Miller
- Dennis Prager
- Christopher Rufo
And many more.
Letting it go hurt. A lot. I just couldn’t continue working full-time, watching my kids and recording a weekly show. So I waited for the pandemic to fade and, eventually, the chance to get back before the podcast mic.
Enter Just The News.
The hard news web site invited me to rejoin the podcasting universe … on my terms. I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough.
“Right on Hollywood” is the next logical step from the HiT ‘cast. You’ll find some familiar features, no doubt, but in the coming weeks I’ll be expanding the show to include more audio snippets and other material meant to show just where Hollywood stands as we near 2022.
It isn’t always pretty.
So far, Right on Hollywood has let “canceled” comedian Derek Richards speak his mind, debated a pair of professors critical of “right-wing” comedy and introduced listeners to what could be the first film comedy to take on woke culture.
Hard. (here’s a teaser of what’s to come…)
And we’re just warming up.
Future episodes will feature “No Safe Spaces” director Justin Folk, celebrated author and podcast giant Andrew Klavan and free speech warrior Josh Denny.
Right on Hollywood is pro-free speech, 100 percent. We’re also open to friendly debates with our liberal friends, and conservative artists always have a home to promote their latest projects.

This week’s show (new episodes drop each Wednesday) peels back the curtain on the latest, shocking attempt to silence conservative voices in entertainment.
You may not be surprised, but you’ll definitely want to hear all about it.
