‘RHOSLC’s Jen Shah Files Motion To Dismiss Fraud Case!!

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah filed a motion on Monday asking the court to dismiss the indictment against her.

Shah’s attorneys argue that federal prosecutors failed to prove that she willfully intended to defraud the telemarketing customers. She also said that any statement she made after her arrest should be thrown out.

“She was in a very vulnerable emotional state due to the combination of strange phone calls she received the morning of her arrest and her history with a convicted felon who had victimized her in New York,” the motion reads. “This caused her will to be overborne easily by [Detective Christopher] Bastos and several affirmative misrepresentations he made in order to secure a waiver of rights.”

Jen was charged in March with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Prosecutors say that Shah and her assistant, Stuart Smith, allegedly sold alleged victims online business services and then sold their clients’ names to other telemarketers who sold the alleged victims more products.

She has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
