R. Kelly Given COVID-19 Vaccine In Jail

R. Kelly has reportedly received both shots of a COVID-19 vaccine behind bars.

Kelly repeatedly tried to get released from custody because of the threat of the deadly virus — but now it seems any future arguments citing COVID-19 will be void… as he should now be immune.

TMZ reports that the singer is one of more than 60 inmates at Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center to receive both rounds of the jab. He received the first in January and the second last month.

The 47-year-old got his first shot in January and the second this month, the outlet said.

Kelly’s trial on charges he recruited underage girls for sex was initially set to start in April but has been delayed until August due to the pandemic. He will also face a trial over child sex abuse videos, the sexual exploitation of children, conspiracy to defraud the US government as well as coercion or enticement of a female.

He has pleaded not guilty to several charges of sexual misconduct in the states of Illinois, New York and Minnesota.
