Prosecutors are asking for photographs of YNW Melly’s tattoos to “document the gang-affiliated tattoos.”
The State of Florida is confirmed to have filed a motion to take photographs of Melly, but they said they would not be used “for the purpose of having the defendant pose for a reenactment,” but they are to prove his ties to gang activities.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty as they claim “the capital felony was committed for pecuniary gain, the capital felony was especially heinous, atrocious, or cruel, the capital felony was a homicide and was committed in a cold, calculated, and premeditated manner without any pretense of moral or legal justification.”
YNW Melly will stand trial on March 7, 2022 for double murder.
The rapper is being held after he was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in February 2019 for allegedly shooting YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy.
Months ago YNY Melly shared with fans that he had his privileges revoked for three months after posting to Instagram.
“To all my fans i love y’all and truly appreciate y’all,” YNW Melly wrote. “the broward county main jail lieutenant had confiscated my gucci shoes and my gucci sock / headband due to the promotion video i posted for my album in just a matter of slime last Friday and they have took my video visitation privileges for 90 days so i cannot interact with my family and fans through video visit.”
