Rapper Pooh Shiesty has been sentenced to more than 5 years in prison.
Shiesty pleaded guilty to one federal charge of conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes in January. The charges stem from an October 2020 robbery where two men were shot and injured. Shiesty is believed to have been involved in the armed robbery.
One of the victims said they had met Shiesty at the location to sell the rapper a pair of Air Jordan 4 shoes. The second victim said he met with the rapper to sell him some weed and receive a payment for a lime green McClaren they had rented to him, the police report said.

The rapper’s attorney says he is pleased with the sentence.
“Listen, nobody’s happy to go to prison, but he was happy the judge listened to our argument, and the judge received the argument well. He was satisfied with the outcome,” Bradford Cohen told Rolling Stone. “We’re happy with the decision of the court.”
