There’s almost nothing myself or my colleagues love more than a designer sale drop—especially when the edit is filled with time-tested, high-end gems for much more affordable prices. Enter: The Outnet’s massive flash sale, which only happens a couple of times a year and just launched with up to 80% off. So, yes, it’s a particularly joyous day here at Who What Wear UK.
The Outnet is one of our favourite insider destinations to shop designer buys for less on a normal day. So, when the extra sale discount is added on coveted designer pieces from the likes of Bottega Veneta, The Row and Ferragamo (some of the most in-demand luxury labels for the season ahead, no less) you can bet the whole team here are ready and raring to shop.
The only thing that’s off-putting about the sale is the sheer scale of it—there’s over 7000 items with incredible deals on them, so it can be hard to know exactly which are the most worthwhile. Don’t worry, though, that’s why I’m here. I’ve genuinely just scrolled through the thousands of deals (I may or may not have needed a break for a wine around the 5k mark) and taken into account the discount, the stock levels, the timelessness, the versatility and the rarity of each piece in order to collate the ultimate sale edit below.
As always, I recommend focusing on finding classic wardrobe staples in the sale—the ones you’ll never regret. And now is a perfect time to be thinking ahead to classic early autumn buys you can secure for less. My personal highlights from the sale include this dreamy Ferragamo cashmere coat (ideal for complementing and brightening up an autumn colour palette), or this buttery leather trench coat for such a reasonable price. Of course, you can never go wrong with The Row’s understated yet elegant pieces, and if you’re starting to think about new season boots, you won’t be disappointed. Zimmermann’s suede knee-high style, Proenza Schouler’s fresh white pair and Rag & Bone’s timeless black ankle boots are all vying for my attention. I also found myself gravitating towards The Outnet’s own brand Iris & Ink a lot, which I love ordinarily for their commitment to quality and the *perfect* capsule staples. The price tags are usually quite expensive, and so I see this as a great opportunity to invest in their premium essentials, like their black blazer and cashmere knits for much less. Yep, I’m losing it a little bit too.
