The twin brother of Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen was found dead at a North Carolina power station on Sunday.
According to police, Tyrell Antar Cohen’s body was found by an employee at a substation near Raleigh early Sunday morning. Cohen is believed to have been electrocuted while climbing power equipment.
He was just 25.
Cohen allegedly fled the scene of a car accident in Raleigh around 2 a.m. on Saturday. Cops then tried to search for him but were unsuccessful. A missing person report was filed by his family.
“He entered the substation, which may have been resulting from the accident,” Wake County sheriff’s spokesman Eric Curry per a local news outlet.
Prior to his body being discovered, Tarik posted “RALEIGH/DURHAM AREA Have you seen my brother ? Last seen 2 am at Heroes pub… Could be on foot in the woulds (sic)… Possibly injured !”
He has since deleted the tweet.
Our condolences go out to Tarik and his family.
