Try to find a more woke celebrity than “Harry Potter” alum Emma Watson.

The woman who became a superstar thanks to J.K. Rowling’s imagination rigorously displays her woke bona fides. Her social media flock – 71+ million followers on Instagram alone – are treated to a steady diet of progressive messaging.
Here’s one example:
She also sided against the creator who made her fabulously wealthy – Rowling – after the author disagreed with elements of the trans movement.
Yet Watson occasionally runs afoul of her own mob.
During the George Floyd riots Watson tried to be a dutiful social justice warrior, but it didn’t work out that way.
Her thought crime?
She posted three black squares in solidarity with the far-Left Black Lives Matter movement but used a white border around them to match her account’s visual look.
What matters more, her fellow Leftists raged, her account’s “aesthetic” or the fight against so-called “systemic racism.”
Naturally, Watson apologized.

‘I see your anger, sadness and pain. I cannot know what this feels like for you but it doesn’t mean I won’t try to.’
Now, she’s in a new jam thanks to another social media missive.
Fellow star Brad Pitt is branching out beyond Hollywood, promoting a new line of alcohol dubbed The Gardener Gin. Celebrities often tap into the alcohol business, often with impressive results. ThinkDan Aykroyd, rocker Sammy Hagar and George Clooney.
The “Ocean’s Eleven” star made himself even richer with that investment.
Now, it’s fellow “Ocean’s Eleven” star Pitt’s turn, introducing a new gin product coming this fall but with a sneak peek, where else, at the Cannes Film Festival.
Watson gave Pitt some social media love this week, but it came with a purpose. Watson’s brother recently launched his own gin line, and the actress knew giving fellow gin maker Pitt some social media attention could boost her sibling’s business.
So she wrote this under a Gardener Gin post.
“@thegardener_gin Welcome from Chablis Brad! 
Do you also have an annoying younger brother who’s obsessed with niche beverages? @alex.s.watson”
She then shared the comments on her own Instagram account. She’s no dummy when it comes to digital promotion.
That’s when the trouble started, according to the far-Left BuzzFeed. Watson’s social media followers raged against her Pitt support, recalling allegations made by ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
She contends Pitt physically harassed both her and several of their children during their marriage. Pitt has denied the charged but admits he needed to cut back on his drinking.
Now, Watson is being socially punished for promoting Pitt’s brand.
Here’s one of the more pointed comments about the matter.
“It’s scary how they use feminism for their own personal brand, but they don’t give a two-second thought when it comes to siding with questionable men.”
Will Watson backpedal… again? It’s not out of the question, but she may fear throwing an A-lister like Pitt under the bus.
After all, Watson hasn’t appeared on screen in four years and has no upcoming gigs on her IMDB.com page. Trashing a fellow actor could make that gap even longer.
