I regularly get fashion inspiration from my co-workers. It used to be from style stalking them in the halls of the office (the good ole days), but now it’s by keeping up with their IG stories as well as the plethora of mirror selfies on our site. As summer is fast approaching, I’m looking to my fellow editors more than ever for some fresh ideas. Luckily, they’re just one Slack message away.
I’ve been screenshotting the ‘fits my newly L.A.-based co-worker Lauren Eggertsen snaps for some time now, so I knew she’d have fire ideas for the upcoming months. One of the places she’s shopping for some new pieces to add to her already ultra-chic wardrobe? Free People. Lauren showed me two insanely good outfits she put together from the site that made me open up a browser window faster than I ever have before. Easy maxi dresses, vintage-inspired leather blazers, and rectangle sunnies are just a few of the things I’m scooping up from her pics. Want to see them? Keep scrolling.
When people think of L.A. summers, many imagine the ultimate sunny days. Truth be told, we have to fight off a good amount of fog at the start of the season, so I’m particularly loving Lauren’s addition of a trench on top of this breezy white dress for the sake of those cooler mornings. Plus, these shoes are what Y2K dreams are made of, and I’m so here for them.
I wasn’t a socks-with-sandals believer until the moment Lauren sent me this pic. The vegan blazer and matching black set create an effortless look.
