California police are searching for a man allegedly who was caught on surveillance camera robbing Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles in Pasadena at gunpoint.
The man entered the store and tried to place an order. He was refused because he was not wearing a mask. They told him to return to the restaurant once he had a face covering. Undeterred, the man then pulled out his gun and allegedly stole chicken, waffles, and syrup.
“He comes straight toward me with a gun, pointing at me and saying, ‘Put all the chicken in the bag,'” cook Robert Gonzalez told ABC7. Staff confirmed that he did not take any cash from the store — he only wanted a plate of food.
Police are now investigating the incident:
“We are following active investigative leads in this case,” Pasadena Police Department spokesperson Carolyn Gordon told BuzzFeed News, “We consider this to be a crime.”
