I’m Officially Anti-Baggy Jeans—5 Trends I’m Wearing Instead

First things first, I apologize for the hyperbole. Just like everyone else, I own more than a few pairs of baggy jeans at this point, which I’ll certainly still wear. But I’ve found that I’ve been reaching for them less and less as of late. I don’t find them to be the most flattering style of jeans I own and I’m growing a bit tired of the trend after seeing so much of it, so I’ve been experimenting with a few other trends that are just as cool.

I’d have to say that my go-to denim style is never not straight-leg jeans, and I’ve included them on this list, but there are a few other trends (both denim and not) that I suggest looking into if you’re also growing tired of baggy jeans. Scroll to see if they fit into your wardrobe and shop some of my personal favorite versions for each.

While I may be seeking a break from baggy jeans, baggy trousers I am not. I find that they look more polished, and are surprisingly easy to dress up or down.

I’m currently searching for my first pair of flared jeans in quite some time. After seeing celebrities and fashion people in them so much lately, I’m sold. This style is a good alternative to skinny jeans

It’s been awhile since I’ve wanted to wear leggings as pants, but the sophisticated styles by The Row, TOTEME, and Wardrobe.NYC have convinced me it’s time.

Maxi denim skirts were one of my favorite trends to emerge in 2022, and I’m still here for it. I sprang for the Khaite one, but there are tons of stellar options to choose from.

Straight-leg jeans will probably always be my #1 denim style. I probably wear my Agolde Pinch Waist pair more than anything in my closet. They look good with everything and they’ll never go out of style.
