Sattler is currently a stylist and a blogger on her popular site Closet Choreography. Before that, she actually spent 20 years working as a stylist at Nordstrom. So naturally, she knows a thing or two about building an A+ wardrobe.

On that note, we thought there could be interest in learning about the winter items she personally deems as closet staples. She ended up sharing seven pieces that she’ll be wearing on repeat this season and will also be recommending to her clients when they ask for winter style advice.

“The best winter sweaters make comfort and style attainable in one piece. A classic cable-knit sweater has always been a winter go-to for all my clients.”

“Balance the bulk of your winter layers with a sleek pair of leather leggings. This piece will outlast and outperform any trend. I’ve had mine for over 10 years.”

“A white button-down is the epitome of effortless style. It’s versatile enough to layer under a trendy sweater-vest or classic pullover. This winter, make it the cornerstone of your next holiday ensemble.”

“This stylish staple makes the ideal grab-and-go coat when temperatures drop. The simplicity of the silhouette makes it easy to layer. After a dark year, consider the style benefits of adding one in a fun neutral print or a fresh pop of color.”

“Fashionable, ageless style starts with this piece. A leather jacket fits better the more you wear it, making it one of the best wardrobe investments you can make. It’s certainly one of mine.”

“Every outfit needs a great handbag. With all the things we juggle, your bag doesn’t have to be one. A crossbody bag is lightweight and keeps our hands free.”

“This traditionally sporty staple adds street style credibility to anything from a blazer to cashmere joggers. My favorite is a graphic hoodie. It makes the perfect alternative to a graphic tee in the winter.”
