I’m a Shopping Expert—32 Chic Fall Finds I’m Just So Into Right Now

I consider myself a shopping expert of sorts. Given my role as a fashion editor, it’s a large part of my day-to-day job to scroll through collections and various sites to edit the market and bring you a range of solid pieces. So with that in mind, I thought I’d do just that here. Yep, I wanted to highlight an assortment of the fall finds I’m flat out into right now.

Below, you’ll uncover my offering of the moment. I hit on a variety of autumn trends, like modern tailoring and cable-knit sweaters. I also included a range of elevated basics for all of your styling needs. You know, pieces like straight-leg jeans and chic shirting. Need a new pair of shoes? Well, there are also sleek footwear options in the mix—including a few of my favorite boot silhouettes. Keep scrolling for all of that and much more.

A tailored vest is one of my favorite modern staples for this season. And okay, I may be a bit biased, but this new style from our Who What Wear Collection is just so good. It’s sharp and chic, and I think it’s one of the strongest options out there for under $130.

Cable-knit is actually a key detail for the season. I totally whispered yes to myself after seeing this boxy sweater in that breathtaking pink.

When my friends have been asking for a list of fresh items to consider, I pretty much always direct them to some sort of oversize blouse. I’m feeling this $60 option given the current-feeling yet timeless nature.

Nordstrom’s new in-house label, Open Edit, is filled with trend-forward pieces that are affordable but look expensive. Case in point? These faux-leather trousers.

Well, hello there. This beautiful blazer is a front-runner because of the polished feel. The belt is actually removable, but I love that feature.

You just can’t go wrong with Levi’s. This pair has all the features of a top-notch pick with the high waist, straight leg, and nice wash.

These under-$100 loafers may become one of your new footwear staples. I’d personally wear them with a pair of white crew socks.

This updated take on Staud’s favorite hobo bag with multicolor stitching is adorable.

Here’s one more stellar find from Open Edit. The wrap silhouette is stunning, and it looks great with everything from jeans to skirts.

This kitschy bracelet just makes me happy. Add this to your stack for a unique and playful vibe.

As we showcased in this story here, this new Saint Laurent bag will define fall 2021 due to its minimal and classic shape. Celebs and fashion people alike continue to gravitate toward it.

Italist is a go-to for those investment designer items. The assortment of brands is legit (there are over a thousand), and there’s free and fast shipping. These sneakers stopped me in my tracks with that purple glitter.

I’ve been seeing so many of my favorite fashion follows repping striped sweaters recently. The collar and side slits on this pick from Alex Mill make it an ideal style.

Clogs will be a go-to for the fashion crowd this fall. I feel like I can’t resist this furry pair by Birkenstock. I mean, just look at them.

A plaid shacket just screams fall to me. Madewell consistently has great versions that are ideal for layering.

Gorgeous knee-high boots are no-fail for fall. This specific pair is beautiful and will look great over jeans or teamed with a midi dress or skirt.

This is not your average puffer. The loose silhouette and the collarless neckline are so chic for fall.

Novelty knits are just so fun, and the stitched roses are absolutely adorable. Picture this skirt with a classic white blouse or tee.

The longline tailored vest is another chic pick to be worn on its own or layered over a button-down shirt or tee.

There are so many things right here—from the forward green hue to the comfy ribbed fabric. Oh, don’t forget about the coordinating tank and pants.

Such an elevated faux-leather blazer. This shade is dreamy, and so is the slouchier fit.

The high neckline is sleek. Also, please note the cable-knit fabric.

Those classic black booties will always work, but I’m also feeling these color-block boots with the white on the back. The heel height also gets an A+.

New denim jacket, anyone? This slouchier item is made from recycled cotton.

The curly seams are a forward design choice that makes this cute turtleneck look very high-end.

If you’ve been on the hunt for a new coat for fall and winter, consider this oversize silhouette to bring an of-the-moment feel to your wardrobe.

This printed turtleneck is lovely on its own, but it’s also thin enough to act as a base layer to other autumn ‘fits.

A sophisticated trouser choice. The arctic blue feels unexpected and different from the rest.

I clicked “Yes” to this fuzzy jacket on The Yes. It looks so cozy, and I like how it can bring texture and dimension to an outfit.

What’s the best feature here? Well, it’s hard to pick. The shearling lining is great, as are the contrasting colors and the modern shape.

Hi, Loewe bag. I like you—a lot.

I love a good pair of distressed jeans these days. That ideal pick (like this style from Agolde) brings effortlessness to any look.
