When it comes to our list of go-to stores, Nordstrom ranks pretty high up there. You too? Wonderful. Well, it really does make sense given that the retailer stocks quite the variety of merch, including everything from quality basics to trendy staples. So when we get the opportunity to chat with an actual Nordstrom insider, we jump at the chance. And that brings us to why we’re here today. Yep, we tapped senior designer of Nordstrom Made, Ruth Odenweller, to talk all things spring fashion.
Given her senior role on the design team at Nordstrom, it’s her actual job to guide the direction for some of the most coveted in-house labels. We’re talking about brands like Treasure & Bond, Leith, and Zella. So with that in mind, we thought there could be interest in learning about the general spring items she’s personally loving right now, and thinks everyone could be into as well. Keep scrolling to check out the pieces in question, complete with a variety of shopping inspiration from some of the Nordstrom Made lines.
“A great matching set makes getting dressed easy and simple, while also being trend forward. Take your matching sweat-set style into the spring with new bright colors and patterns. For a fresh twist, update to matching shorts!”—Odenweller
“My spring must-have is a go-to dress. I love bold florals, puff sleeves, wrap, and tiered shapes that can be paired with a sandal or sneaker.”
“Workwear-inspired, muted colors, cargo details, and clean silhouettes make this trend versatile and easy to layer throughout spring. The shirt is a great layer over a dress or jumpsuit instead of a traditional jacket.”
“These sport-inspired shapes will be a fixture in my wardrobe this spring. Add an oversize shirt or graphic tee for easy spring comfort and a great way to mix a sporty element into your look.”
“Graphic tees are a must this spring. Go for joyful colors and bold graphics, making a statement that’s personal to you. They’re perfect to throw on with a pair of your favorite jeans or bike shorts for an easy spring look.”
“I am still loving tie-dye for the spring, and these new dye-effect styles are a great update. I’m especially looking for color blocking, stripe, and faded spray effects that make these easy layering styles feel special.”
