If You Only Wear Black Boots, These 6 Simple Outfits Will Come in Clutch

I pretty much have a few go-to essentials I live in during the fall months. What tops the list? Well, for starters, black hoodies, turtleneck sweaters, skinny jeans, blazers, moto jackets, and trusty (albeit basic) black boots. TBH, I’m basically in a relationship with the latter. I adore them so much they make up half of my shoe closet. And okay, yes, I know there’s a plethora of statement-making booties out there in the universe, but it’s the simple, understated silhouettes that always find a home on my hooves. Why? Well, it might seem obvious, but the classic nature of the silhouette (aka the lack of frills and embellishments) means they can be worn with literally anything in my wardrobe.

On that note, there are actually a few outfit formulas I turn to the most with my go-to boots. Believe it or not, others in the fashion crowd seem to be on the same page, as they too step out in similar ‘fits with their booties.

So without further ado, here are six flawless black-boot outfits (courtesy of some of my favorite style setters) to consider if you also swear by the timeless shoe silhouette. And of course, I also shopped out each look to give you even further styling inspiration.

There’s nothing more classic than a blazer and ankle boots so to step yours up a notch, style them with sleek leather pants and a basic tee. If you’re going for an all-black base, a patterned blazer helps to break up the monochrome.

This is the outfit I personally wear all the time. Leather outerwear is having a moment this fall, and the easiest way to style a leather jacket is with classic blue jeans, a white tee, and your trusted black boots.

For something cozier, reach for a chunky knit sweater or a cardigan with—yes you guessed it—jeans and black boots. Cardigans with jeans is basically a fall uniform among fashion girls at this point.
