I Think People in Their 20s, 30s, and 40s Would Love These Nordstrom Picks

The older I get, the less I’m focusing on trends. I’ve long been a proponent of minimal, classic style, and having just celebrated another birthday last month, I’m more sure than ever that this is the key to style longevity. That being said, we tend to think that an item that a 20-something is drawn to won’t have the same effect on a 30-something and so on. But in my opinion, it’s all about what you buy and where you look!

Nordstrom has many versatile options that can easily appeal to people in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and beyond. With summer on the horizon, I concentrated on easy items that work for any age, such as airy midi dresses, classic button-downs, and vacation-worthy footwear. While there are definitely stereotypes out there about what people should and should not be wearing after they hit a certain age, I say if it makes you feel comfortable and confident, go for it. Life’s too short, and above all, fashion should always be fun.

Happy scrolling!

All I care about right now are satin midi skirts styled with oversize sweaters or tanks and sleek flip-flops.

I don’t care how old you are. If you’re in this sweater, you’re chic!

I’ve been wearing black ballet flats since my early 20s and don’t plan on stopping. (I’m in my 30s now.)

Even if you aren’t actually drinking wine in the rolling hills of Tuscany, you’ll feel like you are in this dress.

Ribbed tanks are an overall great basic for everyone to have on hand. Plus, they’re everywhere this season.

Linen wide-leg pants like these always look good.

You can’t go wrong with a structured leather handbag.

The collar on this knit top is so special.

People keep coming back to Stan Smiths for a reason. They’re the epitome of laid-back style.

I love that this dress has longer sleeves but still feels so light and summery.

Tailored black pants like these should be a closet staple. I love that this pair has some stretch to them.

Why not trade in your black blazer for a more seasonally appropriate sage?

Gold statement jewelry is where it’s at. This piece has an art deco feel that I love.

& Other Stories has been killing it with its button-downs recently.

Now that I’m in my 30s, I prefer a longer hem on my shorts. However, my 20-something self would have definitely been into the high waist on these.

The importance of a good white T-shirt cannot be overstated.

Straight-leg jeans in a classic wash are always a good bet.

You’ll have this polo sweater for years to come.

I bought a suit like this in my 20s and have never tired of it. The straps on this one are removable to make it a bandeau if you prefer.

These slides are so versatile you’ll wear them nonstop this summer.

If you’ve grown a little tired of your leather blazer, look no further than this fresh take.

I practically live in crew-neck sweatshirts, and this one is right up my alley.

Too cute! Plus, the wide brim is sure to provide optimal sun protection.

I’m living for the puff sleeves and ribcage cutout on this dress.

Wear this top open with a tank underneath or closed.

Loving this seafoam green for summer.

This is the first item you should pack for any upcoming beach vacations IMO.

Such easy joggers.

This is a splurge, but I promise you’ll wear it every single summer until the end of time.
