I Just Vetted New Trends Through My Team of Fashion Editors—These Are Worth It

Given our roles as fashion editors, we chat about trends a lot here at WWW. I recently covered the biggest color moments right now and one of the key shoe silhouettes of the season. I was curious about which trends my team is especially excited about. During a meeting, I vetted a range of new trends through my colleagues to uncover the standouts they think are really worth it.

While all of the trends I mentioned were certainly noteworthy in everyone’s eyes, there were six that really piqued everyone’s interest. The trends in question run the gamut, including everything from next-level basics to forward accessories.

I rounded up the trends below with a bit of styling inspiration. If something catches your eye, there are also shopping picks. You never know—there could be a new go-to summer staple with what’s coming your way.

When I asked for those trends that are front-runners, one of my fellow editors was particularly thrilled about heavy, saturated colors. I totally get the excitement here, this trend is bold, fun, and optimistic. Try it in everything from suiting to accessories.

This is actually one of my favorite trends. I think the oversize shirting look is effortlessly chic and is cool worn buttoned up or layered over a cute top like with this ensemble.

Those ’70s-inspired floral prints are a favorite among the fashion crowd and emblazoned on everything from dresses to blouses.

For a statement-making vibe, it’s all about cutout details. If you’re planning to start going out a bit more, this is definitely a trend to consider this summer.

You may remember the chain-belt trend from the early 2000s. Well, the look is holding strong this season as well to bring dimension to any look.

In the shoe realm, heeled flip-flops continue to reign supreme as a chic option to be worn with casual or dressy outfits.
